Well, anything that is on the market aimed at amateur thief. There is no cure against professionals in most cases, weather it would be a laptop, car or anything else.
In nine out of ten cases laptops stolen for a quick buck and sold almost on the spot. New owner usually do not have installation CDs to reformat hard drive (s) and he/she will try to use your Mac ASAP.
If network is available - you have guessed it, information will be sent to you about your Mac's new location with pictures.
If network is password protected and thief enters the WEP password - the outcome is the same, you'll get location information and pictures.
What if the thief formats the hard drive?

This sounds like a great programme. If I was a thief though, I would have to wipe the hard drive anyway in order to erase the information of the rightful owner, before I could turn it into money. I presume that your application does not work, if somebody performs a disk formating and erases all data on the machine, right?!network password protected
